We often encounter such a situation while having test: although the design engineer connected the power filter on the equipment power line, but the equipment still can not pass the “conduction harassment voltage emission” test, the engineer suspected that the filter effect, changing the filter constantly, still can not get the ideal effect.
There are two aspects to analyze the reasons:
1、Strong harassment of the equipment
2、Less filter effection of the equipment
For the first case, we can solve it by reducing the intensity of the harassment, or increasing the order of the power filter at the harassment source to improve the filter’s ability to suppress the harassment. In the second case, the installation mode of the filter also has a great effect on its performance regard the poor performance of the filter itself. This is often overlooked by design engineers.
